2017 was a phenomenal year at Stranded On A Planet. In addition to seeing our Coca-Cola anthem "Taste The Feeling" go fully global in over 200 countries and recorded by almost a dozen global artists in different languages and styles, Scott was able to work on some truly remarkable projects. He co-produced "Almost Human" by Lauren Daigle with Alcon/Sleeping Giant for the major motion picture juggernaut soundtrack for Blade Runner 2049. He also co-produced with Alcon/Sleeping Giant the two end title songs for the major motion picture "Father Figures", the first "Can't Hold Out On Love" by superstar Jason Mraz, and the other, "Can't Stop This Love" by Tim Myers from OneRepublic. Scott scored several major motion picture trailers as well, including for movies such as "How To Be A Latin Lover", "Everybody Loves Somebody", "No Manches Frida", and more. In addition, over a dozen of Scott's cues were featured in Facebook short films, showcasing various initiatives introduced by Mark Zuckerberg, as well as accompanying many shorts showcasing how Facebook is used as a tool of positivity around the world. Scott has also been busy producing several songs for ArtistMax, with legendary Fleetwood Mac producer Ken Caillat. 2018 is already seeing the continuation of those projects, and many more exciting ventures.
2016 has been a transcendental year at Stranded On A Planet. In addition to traveling to Atlanta, Dubai, and Greece to perform our global Coca-Cola anthem "Taste The Feeling" live, we have scored over 20 short films for Facebook, scored several major motion picture trailers, worked on a Grammy-nominated production for Mexican superstars Reik, and co-produced several major motion picture end title original songs with Alcon/Sleeping Giant, and have composed dozens of original compositions for Warner/Chappell. 2017 looks to be even more fun and exciting!
January 19 was the global launch of Coca-Cola's brand new marketing campaign, "Taste The Feeling". Scott, together with Josh Jones and Jeremy Bircher, co-wrote "Taste The Feeling", the 2016 global Coca-Cola anthem. "Anthem", the first commercial released, was produced by Scott at Stranded On A Planet, featuring Josh Jones on lead vocals. A version produced by Avicii, featuring Conrad Sewell on lead vocals, was also released in select global markets. Scott produced a version of the Avicii hit "Hey Brother" for "Brotherly Love", another epic Coca-Cola commercial, also featuring the magical vocals of Josh Jones. Scott also got to lend his lead vocals to "What Is A Coca-Cola For?", another Coca-Cola commercial in the massive "Taste The Feeling" campaign. Over the last few months Scott has composed music for several commercials and short films for clients including Facebook, Delve Films, Hot Springs Spa, Sewell Ford, Music Dealers, and more. Scott will be scoring a full length upcoming documentary film in August about wheelchair basketball athletes as well. Scott has also been guest lecturing for SAE Paris, focusing on all elements of music production and the commercial composition business.
Stranded On A Planet just underwent a studio-wide upgrade, including a new hydraulic custom made console desk, new converters, new computer, new touchscreen and doublewide monitors, and more. Head to the Equipment page to see a full list of all of the new additions. Scott is now a custom composer for Music Dealers after scoring the latest UK Schweppes commercial for Music Dealers. Scott also scored 3 short films for Facebook's 2015 F8 Developers Conference and is working on several other Facebook pieces. In addition, we are now composing a custom 60 track Malaysian World Pop Library for a major Malaysian company. Along with a host of new custom composition projects for Warner/Chappell and Beachbody, Scott just released several tutorial video series' for Groove3. So, 2015 is going to be full of great new music projects!
The latest tutorial video Scott produced for Groove 3, titled "Producing With Studio One", is now available for streaming and purchase HERE. Scott goes over the steps involved for the production of "Omen", the latest single by The Hawthorne Effect. From playing and editing drum tracks, to recording guitars, percussion, bass, keyboards, and vocals, Scott goes over a whole slew of fundamental concepts that make up the production process.
